Using the Library
Check Out Information
Items are checked out for two weeks and can be renewed twice. A maximum of four items can be checked out by each patron. Items can be renewed by phone (918-358-2676) or renew online.
Fines
Fines are 5 cents per day per item, excluding Sundays and holidays, with a maximum fine of $1.00 per item.
We charge for the cost of replacing the item if it is lost.
- Anytime you have unreturned overdue items, you will not be allowed to check out materials or use the computers until the overdue items are returned or replacement value is paid.
- If the overdue item is found and returned at a later date, after payment has been made, the library will reimburse the patron, providing the item is in good condition upon return.
Behavior in the Library
The policy on patron behavior is to ensure that the Jay C. Byers Memorial Library is a place where the public is served without unpleasantness.
Behavior Rules
- There shall be no smoking in the library.
- There will be no food or drinks permitted except by special functions approved by the Library Director or Board of Trustees.
- Loud and/or offensive language will not be tolerated.
- Preschool age children shall be supervised by a family member/guardian/child care provider at all times.
- Running, offensive and disruptive behavior or public displays of affection will not be tolerated.
- Please put cell phone on vibrate or silent while in the library. If you must answer your cell phone, please step outside or into the meeting room (if available).
